LOIS RAPIEL

My passion for design began while working with my most challenging client: myself. I fully transformed the 1920’s colonial that I shared with my husband and son, keeping function and comfort foremost in mind while still making it stylish and beautiful. This style became my signature as a designer, leading me to make a career change, receiving my professional interior design certification at the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design.

I continue working together with long standing clients, several of whom I have worked with for over 15 years, as well as new clients throughout Long Island and NYC. My strength is in being able to listen and translate individual styles and visions into a timeless design aesthetic by developing spaces my clients truly want to come home to.

After having a successful career in the banking industry and currently holding a real estate license, I am able to harness these experiences and expertise and use them to enhance my company and services. I have a strong understanding of budgets and I am very conscious of current real estate trends and the value of property investment.

I believe all good interior design is in large part a result of the correct use of the elements of design. But its also due to the chemistry that exists between the designer and client, and, the ALCHEMY resulting from that dynamic. It is a process that takes something ordinary and turns it into something extraordinary, in a way that cannot be explained.
